We offer the following membership types:
Introductory Membership
Curious about getting a glider pilot rating? Not sure if flying gliders is right for you? The Willamette Valley Soaring Club has a special introductory system that might help you decide. This system allows a new student fly for one season without paying the initiation fees. The student must pay initiation fees before they can solo. The student is responsible for the following charges:
Glider rental billed at club rate.
Tow charges billed at club rate.
Instructor fees vary and are paid directly to the instructor.
The system is only valid for one year; the student must be in good health and at least 13 years old. For more information, contact us at fly@wvsc.org.
Regular Membership
A regular member of our club.
Every member is expected to assume the duties of the operations officer three times a year or volunteer 8 hours at an event.
Family Membership
For additional family members
Initiation and dues are 1/2 of Regular Membership
Junior Membership
For younger members who are not eligible for the Family Membership
Age 13 to 26
Ground Crew Membership
For individuals or family members wishing to participate on the field in glider launching and retrieval.
Tow Pilot Membership
For individuals that only fly our tow planes.
